MESSAGE
I will do my best as a patent professional providing the most beneficial results for my clients!
I have many years of experience, in particular, prosecuting outbound cases from international clients. When handling outbound cases, via focusing on the similarities and differences between each country and Japan regarding laws, regulations, and practical details, I provide beneficial advice to help clients obtain valuable patents in Japan. I also have plenty of experience handling post-grant proceedings including post-grant oppositions, patent-invalidation disputes, and patent infringement litigation.
Having majored in biology in university, I can communicate with clients on the basis of a deep understanding of the underlying inventions especially in the pharmaceutical and biotech fields. In particular, through many years of experience advising and presenting on patent prosecution and enforcement for global pharmaceutical companies, biotech and drug discovery startups, and universities and other research institutions, I can provide beneficial advice on matters unique to pharmaceutical-related inventions, e.g., how to obtain a patent right on first and subsequent medical use inventions or how to obtain effective patent term extensions protecting approved drugs for as long a time as possible. Besides, I also have plenty of experience handling other general organic chemistry cases.
